Mark and Chris

I picked up Chris and took him to Taco Bell (his choice) to celebrate his birthday and give him a birthday gift. In addition to his birthday gift I also gave him a really nice conch shell that I found on the beach in Florida. I showed him how you can hold it up to your ear and it sounds like the ocean. I told him that he can hear it anytime he wants by putting the shell up to his ear. I paralleled that with the idea that God can hear us anytime we want to speak to Him. He is always listening and wants to hear from us. I also shared that if we listen, God can speak to us in different ways such as through reading the Bible, through other people, through speaking directly to our spirit, and many other ways. Chris was really interested in the idea that God wants to have a relationship with us and see us grow.
